We continue practice as usual this week and next. Please note that even though final exams take place next week, practice continues as usual, and the practice requirement (in order to swim the meet) remains. Athletes should budget their time accordingly. Our wonderful breakfast coordinators, Elizabeth and Ling Yu, have requested that you please check the breakfast sign up to help feed our athletes.
With respect to the volunteer link, our last dual meet on Jan 23rd will be our Senior Meet. You will see there are several volunteer slots for bringing balloons. It is our tradition to present balloon bouquets to the graduating seniors at the half-time portion of the meet. IF you can help purchase balloons, please email Ms. Aitken and she will coordinate the effort.
Ms. Aitken is currently in the process of making the final arrangements for our end of season banquet. She will be sending another email about this later in the week.
Every year the undergraduates gather to make scrapbooks for the graduating seniors. These wonderful mementos are presented on the night of the banquet. The kids always have a LOT of fun doing this project. Any/all are welcome to come and help (especially freshmen…come see what it’s about!). The workshops will be held at the Aitken House 13502 Keating St Rockville, MD 20853 from 1-5 pm on the following Sundays: Jan. 31, Feb 7, and (if needed) Feb. 14. We have 17 scrapbooks to complete this year!! We will need lots of help. Drinks and snacks will be provided, but it might not hurt to bring a pair of scissors!
Finally, Divisionals will be here before we know it. Saturday, Jan. 30th at KSAC.
